Famous for its wide beaches and for its tower, Torre Moya, the coastal town of Benajarafe is divided into two parts: Benajarafe Costa and Benajarafe Alto. In Benajarafe Costa we find a beautiful, very pleasant promenade with beach bars and small shops and restaurants. The views of the sea and the entire coast are impressive, and the beaches are very wide and clean. The Torre Moya, built to warn the population of pirate attacks with luminous signals, dominates the landscape. Behind this tower lie the quiet residential areas of Benajarafe. Beyond that, the environment is more rural with avocado and mango fields, and more scattered houses: This is Benajarafe Alto.
